The use of numerical calculation of magnetic fields to insure absolute design
accuracy is a standard feature of the Rale Design Programs. Accuracy of
parameters such as Temperature Rise (load and no-load), Regulation, Induction
and Fill Factor assure that the transformer built to the program specifications
will perform according to the program projection.
The parametric testing aspect of the Rale design programs allows the design
engineer to “fine-tune” the design to meet production requirements. After the
first design is calculated by the program, the design engineer has the option to
enter the “TEST MODE” of the program where he can alter items such as Number of
Turns, Wire Size, Frequency, Ambient Temperature, Load and Steel Grade and have
the program automatically recalculate the transformer performance based on the
changes.
The Rale programs allow you to not only design the most accurate theoretical
transformer, but you are also able to “tweak” the design so that the transformer
can be easily built in your facilities.

NEW RALE Design Examples
At
the CWIEME Chicago 2008 Exhibition, Rale led off the CWIEME Inductica
conference with a major Seminar/Workshop. Twenty-one new detailed
design examples were presented. These transformer and Choke designs were
presented step-by-step using the Rale Transformer Design Software. If you
would like to have copies of the design examples, they can be downloaded as
a PDF file below.
