B. W. Darrah, Inc. offers a selection of specialized manually
operated, pneumatic, and hydraulic powered cutting tools for extreme service
applications. This range of tools has been selected from multiple manufacturers
throughout the world for their ability to cut the very high-tensile materials
used in the Spring Industry and stand up to the job. These tools are designed
for the tough cutting jobs encountered in the Spring Industry. The tools
we provide are primarily from three companies: Tensor, Damar & Knipex.
Tensor, a Swedish company has worked with the Swedish Steel
Industry under a Swedish government grant to develop unique materials that stand
up to the abuse of cutting even the hardest of spring wire, OTEWA oil tempered.
This material is used in the cutting blades of all the Tensor products to insure
the best possible tool life in extreme working conditions.
Damar International Ltd. enjoys a unique position in the
world’s tool industry as a specialist supplier of quality hand tools for the
wire industry. Damar offers a comprehensive range of tooling from a single
source and most tools are kept in stock either in the B. W. Darrah, Inc.
facilities or in the Damar extensive warehouse in the UK.
KNIPEX uses German engineering to develop and offer a line of
extreme service hand cutting tools that combine the ability to cut very hard
wires with ergonomic handle design.
The following types of tools are available from B. W. Darrah, Inc.
Spring Trimmer
Hydraulic Cutting Tools
Hydraulic Power Units
