Hydraulic Cutting Tools

Tensor delivers a full range of hand manipulated cutting tools specifically designed for cutting spring steels. There are three basic styles available and 3 to 4 sizes within each style.

NOSE PINCH CUT SHEARS

These are designed to deliver a strong cut where only narrow access is available. The cutting blades are located on the front of the shear assembly to allow the operator to reach into a restricted area to make the cut.

The following chart shows the capacity of the three different sizes at two wire tensile strengths, the size of the tool itself, and the hydraulic power unit best suited to that tool.

FIXED PINCH CUT SHEARS

When greater capacity is required, but a pinch cut is desired, Tensor offers a style with a fixed front blade and a movable back blade. This is convenient when there is ready access to the wire being cut, but working with a shorter tool length is preferred.

The following chart shows the capacity of the three different sizes at two wire tensile strengths, the size of the tool itself, and the hydraulic power unit best suited to that tool.

Larger sizes are available on a special order basis.

SQUARE CUT SHEARS

For some applications it is a real advantage to be able to cut the wire to form a flat, square cut. This can be achieved with this style of Tensor cutters.

The following chart shows the capacity of the four different sizes at two wire tensile strengths, the size of the tool itself, and the hydraulic power unit best suited to that tool.

Larger sizes are available on a special order basis.
