Vale Industries, Inc. : Coil Compactors

Rod & Bar Coils are compacted and banded to make coils that are easier to ship, store, and unitize. Also, compacted coils take less room in an annealing oven so you gain more oven capacity for no additional cost.

The Vale manually operated coil compactors hydraulically compact and hold the coil while either strapping or wire is manually fixed about the coil to hold it in its compacted form when the compactor pressure is released.

Only two (2) men are required for operation and the cycle time per coil can be less than 2 minutes.
