These cutters were specifically designed for cutting stranded cable cleanly,
leaving no frayed ends. The tool will cut safety/lock wire as well as piano
wire. They are manufactured from aircraft quality ALLOY STEEL. To insure
long life of the cutting edge the tools go through a complex heat treating
process, giving them a file hard surface with a tough core. The tools are
zinc plated with a gold iridite finish for rust protection. The tools
feature a unique handle design for added leverage with thick "T" shaped
vinyl grips for cutting ease

These Knipex pliers are manufactured from special tool steel, oil hardened and tempered, with induction hardened cutting edges (64 HRC) for cutting hard wire. Serrated round jaws and heavy duty ergonomic handles. Cuts piano wire up to 3/32” diameter and hard wire up to 5/32” diameter.
